A candidate scored very high on an OPTO dimension. The AI flagged it as a risk. Shouldn't a high score be good?
This is intentional and correct psychometric practice.
A high score on a personality profile is not in itself good or bad. It all depends on the Criteria and the combined picture of the person.
A very high score on a personality aspects can indicate overuse of that trait, which may be a risk in certain role contexts. The AI Module might flag it for the practitioner to probe, not to discard, but to investigate in the interview.
Suggestions for prompts:
-
Try to ask for specific interview questions, that addresses the concern. E.g., "What is the downside of scoring so high on that Aspect compared to my Criteria? And how can I address this in the interview? Please give me 5 questions I can choose from."
-
Another thing you can try is to get a bigger picture of the candidate by looking into complementary aspects. E.g., "What other Aspects of the profile might compensate for the downsides of the very high scores?"
